Do People Even Read Anymore?

Wondering if starting this blog/journal was a good idea in the first place. People consume content and videos more than anything. Not to mention with all this AI stuff out there content is just being written by AI, read by AI, edited by AI, etc. I think this is what they call the dead internet theory? Well don't worry you'll be able to tell I wrote my stuff. Seriously. I'm just writing what comes to mind and as they come. Grammar? I'll tidy up some stuff with grammarly, but for the most part nah you'll get that raw, unfiltered, and poorly articulated ideas from this human right here. Someone has to give AI some new stuff to train on.

So this journal is going to be for writing down and exploring new ideas and thoughts. Also, me building in public and sharing my thought process. There are a lot of ideas I want to build, but life is being life right now and I have to lighten the load. So at the time of me writing this I only have two projects to focus on. That is Yap and MoHostiles. I'll share more on those later. I'll also be writing on Medium and Substack, but those will be for more like personal branding, ideas, and thoughts. Not so much MoStudios related.

I'm not sure if people even read anymore. I feel like a lot of people, at least in the US, aren't reading. Especially Gen Z. People want things quick and summarized. Even when people look into the news they just look at the headline and maybe the caption, that's it. I blame social media for that, but regardless I want to get better at writing again. The only way to do that is to write so I'll be doing just that. I'm not going to worry about it being perfect, but when I get into writing case studies and researching topics I'll be sure to tidy up and put more effort into my writing. I'm taking the same approach as I did with my YouTube which is I'm just going to start. I'm not going to wait until I have all this fancy equipment or editing software, I'm just going to pen down what's on my mind and share. I think this is enough for now.
